LNOF in

September 2024

Home to many Banksy artworks, hot air balloons and now many a stag and hen do, Team LNOF just had to see what the fuss was about. Well, the vibrant city of Bristol did not disappoint. And that’s coming from a bunch of Geordies!

Check out what we got up to for a weekend in Bristol!

FRIDAY 11AM

Jumping right into action we headed to a huge activity centre for

We split up the guys and girls for full stag/hen do authenticity. The girls grabbed the guns while the boys let off some steam on the rage buggies before swapping over. Covered in water and mud we soon realised why they called them ‘rage’ buggies. Everyone hit at least two clays which some of us were pretty proud of, but Drew hit a whopping 14. Clay-mazing!

After lunch we all went to the quad biking area. Driving in tandem, you could say we were Quad goals! Some of us got stuck in the mud while some were so good they got to ride theirs back to base before rifle shooting. The shortest members of the group couldn’t actually see the target, so had to stand on a block that was coined “The Stump of Shame”. Christie was (worryingly) a natural! To say we were exhausted afterwards would be an understatement!

FRIDAY 3:30PM

Hopping in a minibus, we set off for Bristol city centre. As we drove down the main roads, the city started to reveal itself. Colourful rows of houses on cliffs, the famous suspension bridge standing stoically over the River Avon and an abundance of impressive street art welcomed us to our home for the next 48 hours.

Checking into the was a breeze! Right in the city centre the hotel was so close to a lot of the nightlife areas and local shops. It also had a luxurious air about it as soon as you stepped into the hotel reception.

Separating into pairs we headed up to the spacious and comfy rooms to get ready for a full-on night of fun and booze. The rainfall showers were put to good use.

FRIDAY 6:15PM

Bottomless brunch is, dare I say, the most iconic hen do activity. And a ?! Perfection. First orders of cocktails went out and they just kept coming. Slug and Lettuce was a gorgeous backdrop for our boozy meal. Neon signs, foliage walls, a full bar and even a photobooth, it screamed Instagram-able.

After 2 hours of food, cocktails and some cheeky selfies, we were off to our next activity.

FRIDAY 8:30PM

Trying our hardest not to stumble down the streets of Bristol, we made it to for a Neon Paint and Sip session. We all got a token to redeem a free drink at the bar which was mainly ciders and beers after tanking probably litres of cocktails. Then we got to work on our masterpieces. Our canvases were soon covered in images of fruit, aliens, deer, trees, and even Simba from the Lion King. Around the table was neon paint galore, both on the canvas, the table and even some of the team.

The budding artists in the group shone through with their glow in the dark works of art. Banksy's got nothing on us!

FRIDAY 10:30PM

Right next door was the last scheduled venue of the night, Pryzm, which is a huge nightclub with multiple club areas for different music preferences. We were escorted in for the and were given a booth right next to the DJ. As bottles adorned with sparklers came to the table, the night started to get blurry. We danced until we couldn’t stand, and for a couple of us that involved falling down the stairs.

As the night came to a close for some, others headed to another bar for the last pints of the night.

SATURDAY 11:30PM

Waking up bright and early for breakfast, our heads were banging from the night before. Nothing a hot fry up couldn’t solve! We later met in the lobby to start our homemade scavenger hunt around the city of Bristol.

A great way to soak up the sights, we had challenges to find something stag and hen related, a landmark or famous building and even a Banksy, specifically The Well Hung Lover! Somehow, we also found a pint, not sure if that was on the list?

SATURDAY 2:15PM

After buying some bottles of spirits we headed down to Alcotraz for an . Sneaking in the ‘contraband’ we met two actors playing corrupt officers who want to take down the warden with us. We donned some flattering orange jumpsuits and went to our cells to fill out our prison ID cards. One of the kitchen staff/professional mixologists asked if we had any special ingredients for the ‘chicken soup’. After handing over our vodka and rum, we soon found ourselves with a delicious cocktail in our hands.

As scenes played out, we received four cocktails in total. We whooped, booed and cheered as the story unfolded, fully getting into the action. We won’t spoil the story for you though, you’ll just have to have a go for yourself.

SATURDAY 6:30PM

Having recently been broken out of Alcotraz, we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for our second night of the boozer, starting at the . A lavish and luxurious venue, with high ceilings and high-end vibes, we tucked in to a grand meal and a few drinks.

SATURDAY 8PM

Walking through the bustling streets of Bristol we made our way down to , an uber trendy venue we have just started working with. After requests from our groups for the Instagram-able party bar, we just had to pop in. Covered in neon lights, mirrors and plush booths, we immediately understood the hype. The cocktails looked really good too!

We then made our way to The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer, an independent pub with all British booze. A few of the team came here the night before and highly recommended it, so we had a few drinks there before our next activity.

Swiftly departing the pub we rushed to Lola Lo’s for our . As we stepped in we were hit with this delightful scent of coconut and a cool breeze. Met by a member of the wonderful team, we were shown to our VIP area for the night. Countless bottles of vodka, rum, beers and mixers were hand delivered to us throughout the night.

We danced and drunk the night away, with more photos of the neon sign on our phones than we thought humanly possible.

SUNDAY 11:30AM

The morning after... heads were hurting, and stomachs were churning, but there’s nothing like tropical fish to clear up a hangover, right? At least that’s what a few of the team thought as they went down to Bristol Aquarium. They had a flipping good time! The rest of us stayed in bed after figuring out we had late check out. Score!

SUNDAY 4:20PM

And with that it was time to head to the airport for our flight home.

As we landed, we were feeling wistful for Bristol. What a fantastic party city!
