LNOF in

October 2022

The Czech capital is a stag and hen party paradise. There can’t be many places on earth where you can visit a strip club, shoot a gun and ride a tank in the space of 24 hours. Last Night of Freedom visited Prague for a very wild weekend.

Check out what we got up to whilst exploring Prague.

FRIDAY - 11.30AM

When a limo collects you from the airport, you know you’ve made it. When that limo has a stripper inside, you know you’re in Prague. As we touched down in the Czech capital, we were welcomed by arguably the cheeriest lap dancer in Eastern Europe who welcomed us in style!

FRIDAY - 1PM

Soon enough we were swapping pole dancing for pole position, as we were whisked to the city’s premier go-karting track for some fast-paced fun. Word of warning; These petrol-powered machines are beasts, and we spent 20 minutes whizzing around the high-quality track at blistering speeds.

FRIDAY - 3PM

We were possibly expecting to go even faster when we boarded a speedboat, but the vessel was anchored up as we instead spent two hours on a very stationary booze cruise on the scenic Vltava River. Thankfully the girls got an even more impressive view – when one of the hunky deckhands turned out to be a stripper. Below Deck Prague anyone?!

Back on dry land, and we checked into our hostel. Clean, comfortable, and right in the heart of Prague, it is the perfect base to explore the city on foot. Even after a few too many pints of Staropramen, you’d struggle to spend more than 15 minutes walking back from anywhere in the city centre.

FRIDAY - 8PM

After donning our glad rags, we hit the town for a succulent steak dinner. This underground restaurant is swanky, modern – and serves some of the juiciest cuts of beef in Prague. From sizzling sirloins to finger-licking fillets, the meat was magical and was washed down with whiskey that was rye-lly something special!

FRIDAY - 11PM

With a belly stuffed with beef and booze, some would call it a night. Not LNOF. Next stop, the newly opened and very swish Moon Club where it was standing room only for those that hadn’t pre-booked. Having shown some rare foresight, we danced the night away to some R&B bangers - while pounding the moreish Moscow Mules.

SATURDAY - 1PM

Vodka-based cocktails are usually regretted the following morning. Thankfully, being driven to a bleak abandoned warehouse in the middle of nowhere is a great way to quickly sober up. Thankfully we didn’t find ourselves in the latest instalment of Hostel but instead, we were paintballing. Creepy building aside, this was a brilliant (and bruising) two-hour experience rounded off with some ‘hair of the dog’ beers.

SATURDAY - 8PM

What followed was largely chilled. A few hours in the Old Town square allowed the group to live like a local, eating at charming street food stalls and supping beers at neighbourhood bars before a lovely, fresh Italian feast at Pizza Nuova. Freshly baked dough and a charming atmosphere rounded off what was – like we say – a pretty serene time.

SATURDAY - 11.30PM

Then Goldfingers happened. Everything wholesome about the day soon vanished. Goldfingers, for those who don’t know, is a strip club like no other. A diverse range of dancers means there’s somebody for everyone in this saucy subterranean spot. And then there’s the live show, an experience like no other – and one we are confident you’ll never forget. Just don’t bring the in-laws.

SUNDAY - 1PM

How do you follow something like that? Well, a morning of bombing around the Czech countryside in a massive tank of course. This experience is completely unique to Prague and operated by a grizzled guide who looks like he was born to show people how to use Soviet military hardware. For those brave enough to try this, it was a highlight of the weekend.

SUNDAY - 6PM

Tank driving was followed by an evening watching one Slavia Prague at their home, the Fortuna Stadium. Flares, two-footers and a whole stand doing the ‘Poznan’ (Just YouTube it), watching a live match in Eastern Europe is an experience like no other. The atmosphere was other worldly – and the beer at the ground is insanely strong.

SUNDAY- 1.30AM

Sunday might be fun-day, but time is sometimes called early at Prague’s boozers. By early, we mean about 1.30am, but being party experts, we managed to sniff out the late-night haunts to enjoy a post-match pint (or four) at Caffrey’s Irish bar and The Dubliner.

MONDAY - 11AM

It also meant we didn’t wake up for our final day feeling quite as rough, allowing us the chance to inspect the four star Metropolitan Hotel (a great stag party base) before inspecting the boats we use for private river cruises (we can confirm they are in ship shape!).

MONDAY - 2PM

And before flying back to Blighty, we said farewell to Prague with another delicious steak Zephyr, the home of our strip dinner - although the only rump on display this time was on our plates. Bottom’s up!

About the Author

Having swapped papers for partying, Ian is LNOF’s PR guru and loves travelling. He’s visited over 30 of LNOF’s stag do destinations and knows our top spot, Newcastle, like the back of his hand. Born in the shadow of St James’ Park, he studied politics at Northumbria University before covering the city’s nightlife during an award-winning, decade-long career as a journalist. Crucially, he also knows a thing or two about planning a stag do, having organised two as the best man. Both were reportedly bang average.

Ian no longer works for LNOF, but there's not a day goes by we don't long for his return.
