LNOF Guide to Budapest
Budapest is the Buda best.
Budapest is a mouth-watering mixture of history, entertainment and mischief – it’s a perfect choice for a stag weekend. Since our first visit to the city over a decade ago, we've grown to love the city more and more, with its overwhelming architecture, Danube party boat rides, epic restaurants and unbelievable (read: dangerously cheap!) nightlife. We’ve hosted over 3,000 groups there to date, with the popularity of this stag do paradise showing no signs of diminishing.
The size of the city alone means that, more than any other in Eastern Europe, you'll need a guiding hand to save you time, hassle and money during your weekend there. We know (and have visited on several occasions) the best bars, the most stag friendly nightclubs and the most intimate strip clubs – so, it’s safe to say we know our stuff about buzzing Budapest.
I've been on four stag dos in Budapest, and they just keep getting better (shame the hangovers don't).

This city is split into Buda and Pest sides of the river, and it’s Pest where you need to be for all your entertainment, nightlife and sight-seeing. The Buda side is hilly, pretty, less populated - and is generally only somewhere you’ll pass through en route to your shooting, paintballing or quad biking venues. All of our apartments and hotels are in central Pest - so you have restaurants, shops, bars, clubs and strip clubs as close to you as you could possibly imagine.
The city has recently seen a soar in popularity of a new wave of 'ruin bars' , which are hipster, edgy drinking spots, taking the place of previously derelict and disused buildings and courtyards - just waiting to be stumbloed upon by your stag do. Our guided bar crawls are ideal to help you get to grips with the scale and scope of Budapest (helping you get ruined in those ruion bars), and our experienced team know exactly how best to join the dots of lively, unashamedly cool nightspots, en-route to a club or two (followed by a strip club in the early hours). You can read more about Budapest's banging nightlife in our extensive Budapest Ultimate Stag Guide.
It is important to remember, Budapest has several unlicensed strip clubs that operate purely to catch out unsuspecting tourists – usually lone members of all-male groups who have wandered off from the rest and whose judgement is impaired by alcohol, and a wish to see women in lingerie up close – so make sure to only go to lap clubs approved by your tour operator.
We never have a problem getting quality, central accommodation for stag groups heading to Budapest - unless it is when the Hungarian Grand Prix is on in the summer. We particularly recommend going to Budapest between May and September, as this is when many busy central nightclubs - such as those on Margrit Island and those ruin bars we mentioned – will be packed to the rafters with link-minded party animals ready to blow off some steam.
